How much does restoration cost?
Between about $60 and $180 for most pairs. A deep clean is $75. A deep clean plus sole icing is $120. A full restoration, which is the clean, the icing, paint touch-ups, a minor re-glue and finishing, is $180. Individual repairs start around $60. Anything structural is quoted once it has been seen, because a lifted edge and a fully separated sole are not the same job.

What makes one pair cost more than another
- Material. Suede and nubuck take longer than leather and cannot be worked as aggressively. Mesh traps dirt in the weave. Painted panels limit what can be used on them.
- How far gone it is. A pair cleaned every few months and a pair that has not been touched in four years are different amounts of work, even at the same service level.
- Whether anything is broken. Cleaning is predictable. Structural repair is not, which is why re-gluing is quoted rather than listed.
- Rush. 72-hour turnaround adds $20, 48-hour adds $30, and some work cannot safely be rushed at all.
Why nothing is charged before you approve it
You send photos, I look at them myself and come back with a confirmed price within 24 hours. You approve the price, pay a 50% deposit, and only then does the work start. The balance is due when it is finished and you have seen the photos.
Sending a booking costs nothing and commits you to nothing. If the answer is that it is not worth doing, I will say so.
Is it cheaper than replacing them?
Often, and sometimes it is not. A $75 clean on a $200 pair that has three years left in it is straightforward value. A $180 restoration on a pair worth $60 that is coming apart is not, and I will tell you that.
Where restoration tends to win outright is on pairs that cannot be replaced at retail any more: discontinued colourways, anything with resale value, and the pair you are not going to part with regardless of what it costs.
Sending a pair in
Prices are the same whether you are local or mailing them in from another state. Mail-in customers pay return shipping at cost, shown on the invoice before anything is paid.
Not sure which service a pair needs? Send one photo to the free scanner and it will tell you in about ten seconds.
Every pair is worked on by hand by Reesey herself in Powder Springs, Georgia. Nothing is sent out to anyone else, and nothing starts until you have approved the price.
