Cobbler work · Powder Springs, GA

Shoe cobbler.

Not everything that comes in is a sneaker. Heels worn down to the pin, soles coming away from the upper, a split seam, leather gone dry and cracked, a pair that is half a size too tight. Reesey does traditional repair alongside the restoration work, by hand, in Powder Springs.

What she repairs

  • Heel replacementWorn heel tips and heel blocks replaced on boots, dress shoes and heels.
  • Resoling and sole repairSoles lifting, separating or worn through, bonded back down or replaced.
  • Stitching and seam repairSplit seams and failed stitching closed back up.
  • Leather repair and conditioningDry, cracked or scuffed leather cleaned, fed and brought back.
  • StretchingA pair that is half a size too tight, widened across the toe box or the instep.

How it is priced

Cobbler work is not on the standard price list, and that is deliberate. A heel tip and a full resole are not the same job, and neither is a clean split seam and a seam that has torn through the leather around it. Reesey prices each one once she has seen it.

Send her a few photos and she will come back with a price and whether it is worth doing. If it is not worth doing, she will say so. There is no charge for asking and nothing starts until you have agreed the price.
